What have I been doing for the past couple months? Not blogging, clearly. Not knitting, either. Rather, I've been working on this:

As you might imagine, I’ve been working on Stitch-Maps.com for some time. And I had envisioned careful, controlled launch. Pfft. How does the saying go? “If you want to make the gods laugh, tell them about your plans.” This morning a post on Facebook mentioned Stitch-Maps.com. That got repeated on Ravelry. And that let the cat outta the bag.
So now you know. I’ve been neglecting this blog on account of Stitch-Maps.com. And I’m probably going to continue neglecting this blog for a while.

Don't have to! Get a basic subscription and Stitch-Maps.com will highlight and keep track of your current row for you. Think of it as curvy post-it that can't fall off!

Incredible! Clearly this a wonderful sea change in how to express stitch patterns. These are fantastic! Can I think of any other superlatives to use? Marvelous, stupendous, informative, intuitive, exhilarating... I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this idea. I bow to you, JC.

When I saw the thumbnail for this post I thought this was a crochet pattern. It's about time! I have no problem using crochet "charts" because they do mimic the material and clearly show the pattern/material is being created. Knitting charts just drive me crazy. Thanks for putting some sense into knitting.
